StillPosted by Sharon Pleasants (Monroe, Louisiana, United States) on 19 June 2013 in Landscape & Rural. I do believe that for now, the drama is over. My dad's visit with his Cardiac Doc today was great. They are taking him off the Coumadin and Lasix (yay!) and will probably take him off the Cordorone in 3 months. His EKG looked great. His heart sounded great. He is an 82 year old freak of nature. April 25th they had his chest opened up and he was on a heart and lung machine for 8 hours. Today, less than 2 months later, he is driving, and shopping, and walking the length of a football field. He is also smiling more than I've ever seen him smile. Now I think I have time to slow down, be still, and enjoy moments such as the one I was in when this shot was taken. I am content.
I appreciate each and every one of you who stops by regularly, and those of you who only stop occasionally. I wish I could get to know each of you in person, but will settle on learning about you through your photography. I'm of the opinion that if everyone in the world was a photographer, there would be no war, regardless of color, nationality, religion or politics. Over 90% of the photos you see here are either on my property or within a 5 mile radius. I love Louisiana terrain and weather, and I love living in the country.
